One couple’s story as they try to reclaim the life and love they once knew and pick up the pieces of a past that may be too far gone. For me this movie was amazing and I was expecting not to like it. My mind was blown at how much it resembles what I went through 27 years ago. I was riveted and had to leave the theater before they turned the lights on. So many of the details were so much like what I went through, sans the affluence and tidy ending, it was uncanny. I knew the story line and was expecting to be annoyed because deep down I wanted a cathartic experience. Well I certainly got it, I walked around a bit stunned for a while after. I just fear you might have had to really know what these characters went through to understand the shear genius of this movie. Jessica Chastain is getting rave reviews, and I thought she was good, but James McAvoy’s acting was what helped me connect emotionally with this film…
